  Condom Sample Holders

EN600 requires condom ring samples be mounted on roller grips during testing. ENERSOL grips are available with or without a motor to drive the rollers, and the design will fit a number of internationally available tensile testers.

  Glove Rupture Needle

Australian surgical and examination glove standards include an optional cuff rupture test to assess the possibility of gloves breaking while being put on. A rounded needle tip is pushed by the tensile machine through a firmly held glove sample. The rupture set consists of a rod suitable for mounting on the load cell and a sample holder. These can be fitted to a number of internationally available brands of tensile testers.

  Dumbbell Sample Grips

The dumbbell grips hold dumbbell samples from either gloves or condoms firmly, and can be attached to many internationally available tensile machines.

  Dumbbell Sample Cutter For Condoms or Gloves

Used with the Sample Press, this device has a dumbbell blade which is recessed in order to protect the operator when the blade is not in use. The dumbbell blade is removable for sharpening.

  Tensile Sample Press

Glove testing requirements generally involve tensile testing. Commonly-used standards require three samples per glove, and it is convenient to cut them in one operation if possible. Gloves are thicker than condoms, and many laboratories have found cutting usable glove samples (even single samples) using hand presses very difficult. The ENERSOL Tensile Sample Press was developed to overcome this problem.

SAFETY

The Sample Press operates with ENERSOL's safety cutters, which minimise the risk of injury to the operator. A safety interlock switch prevents the press from operating when the door is open.

CUTTING

The press can be used to cut samples from condoms or gloves, by using the appropriate dumbbell or ring cutter. The press uses compressed air and has a large diameter cylinder with short travel, to make air requirements minimal.

  Condom Ring Sample Cutters

Used with the Sample Press, this device is used to cut samples for testing to EN600 and similar standards. The replaceable parallel steel blades are mounted in a safety housing and are only exposed when in use.
