ENERSOL dimensions testers are designed to comply with current international standards and specifications for condoms and gloves. The ENERSOL dimensions testers are devices designed for easy use and have a long life even in dusty environments.
These testers are automated, easy to operate and fast devices for measuring length, width and thickness. The condom and glove length and width testers use advanced optical techniques to measure the dimensions of the sample. Results are captured by ENERSOL software, so there is no need for the operator to write results thus reducing the need for checking data and the potential for operator error. Simply place a condom or glove on the device, press a button and the measurement is taken, displayed on screen, saved and can be printed on paper.
CALIBRATION
Calibration of the automated dimensions testers is simple and can be carried out in-house with the calibration devices provided. These calibration devices can be calibrated against the laboratory’s existing master instruments.
Automated Condom Length Tester
The automated length tester for male condoms calculates the length using advanced optical techniques and comes bundled with ENERSOL ELength2 software. An added feature is that the length mandrel rotates so that the shortest length is read, thereby facilitating compliance with the requirements of current standards.
Automated Condom Width Tester
The automated width tester for male condoms comes bundled with ENERSOL EWidth2 software and results are calculated using optical techniques. The software can be set to allow measurement of 1, 2 or 3 points for ISO, WHO and ASTM standards,thereby providing correct data for the width test itself and for calculation of the pass/fail limits for the inflation test.
Condom Thickness Tester
The digital thickness tester is made from machined aluminium, is sturdy and holds an LCD display. The reading is taken and results are sent to EThick software with the press of a button. The digital thickness tester and EThick software are easy to use, more accurate and very fast compared to hand-held testers and hand written results.
Automated Glove Length Tester
The automated length tester for gloves calculates the length using advanced optical techniques and comes bundled with ENERSOL GLength software. The length mandrel rotates so the shortest length is read. The tester can be used for surgical or examination gloves and comes with calibration devices for both types of gloves.
Automated Glove Width Tester
The automated width tester for gloves comes bundled with ENERSOL GWidth software and results are calculated using optical techniques. The tester can be used to perform tests to ISO, WHO and ASTM standards.
Glove Thickness Tester
Enersol has also made available a version of its computer-linked thickness tester that is adapted to glove measurement. The computer program is designed to collect data in accordance with the glove standards. The digital thickness tester and GThick software are easy to use, more accurate and very fast compared to hand-held testers and hand written results.
Testers for manual measurement of length and width are made of white or clear acrylic, which is attractive, durable, easy to use and clean, and are suitable for low-volume laboratories.
Condom Width
The width tester consists of an acrylic stand which holds a ruler horizontally. Bars are set at appropriate levels below the ruler for measuring results of width tests and pass/fail limits for the inflation test.
Condom Length
The condom length mandrel consists of an acrylic post with a domed top, standing firmly on an acrylic base and a ruler set accurately into the mandrel to facilitate easy reading.
Glove Length
The glove length mandrel is a vertical rule required by ISO medical glove standards and fits easily into the glove’s longest finger so that the length of the glove is clearly visible on the rule.
INSTALLATION, COMMISSIONING AND TRAINING
ENERSOL Dimensions Testers can be set up and commissioned by experienced senior ENERSOL staff when purchased with an Automated Inflation System. Otherwise, the items are shipped with set up manuals, operator manuals and the appropriate calibration devices.
ENERSOL also offers operator and installation training in Sydney, Australia. Both training courses include manuals and documentation for the operators in English, Chinese or Portuguese.
